Delta Force

Delta Force is an award winning initiative which is run from the Youth Café in conjunction with the local community and local council.  It provides a team of young people to carry out services in the local area, including graffiti removal, garden tidying and waste land renovation.  We also organise and run other events such as coffee mornings, sponsored walks and bag packing.  These events help to raise money for the Café and other charities in the area.  Keep reading to find out how to get involved and see what we've been up to already.

Delta Force have won the 'Young Citizens of the Year Award'.  Congratulations to everyone!

Next meeting 21st August, 5pm at the cafe.  Representatives from the British Red Cross in Elgin will be coming to speak to us about opportunities they have for Delta Force to get involved.

Events to get involved in:

Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th July  Painting the summer house at Anderson’s, these might be our last visits, so meet at the café at 4:30pm for a chance to have a go.

24th, 31st, July and 7th, 14th August.  Joining the Cedarwood's Gardening Club.

***New Opportunity*** Get in touch to be on the first Sport leader award running from the Elgin Youth Cafe.  if you are 14 or over interested in leading sport sessions in the community just let me know.

These projects will look good on your CV later in life and can also count towards awards such as Duke of Edinburgh and Millennium Volunteers.
